Main applicationHPMC is one of the main dispersants in PVC industry. During suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride, it can reduce the interfacial tension between vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and water, and help VCM to be evenly and stably dispersed in the aqueous medium; Prevent the coalescence of VCM droplets at the initial stage of polymerization; Prevent coalescence between polymer particles in the later stage of the polymerization process. In suspension polymerization system, it plays a dual role of dispersion and stability protection.

HPMC is a white or slightly yellowish powder, which is odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. It can be dissolved in cold water and organic mixed solvents to form a transparent viscous solution.
